Sanitation Protocol:

We prioritize the highest sanitation standards in accordance with York Region Regulations and our commitment to personal hygiene values. To ensure optimal safety, we do not accept walk-ins, scheduling services an hour apart for thorough disinfection. In the event of late arrivals, minor adjustments may be made to stay on time without compromising safety.

What to Expect:

1. Welcome and review of the Client form; Intake forms for children under 16 must be completed by an adult.
2. Feet and hands respectfully examined for health risks.
3. Preparation for the Coconut Village experience.
4. If a client shaves their legs on the day of a pedicure, rescheduling may be considered for everyone’s safety.
5. Metal implements are sanitized in 70% Alcohol or higher, sealed once air-dried, and files/buffers are disposable for one-time use.
6. We use non-porous Ceramic pedicure tubs for a safer experience without pipes that trap bacteria; plastic liners are available upon request.
7. Extra precautions for diabetic clients; first-time clients complete an intake form.
8. Pregnant clients advised to consult their doctor before receiving a pedicure.
9. No use of razors or cheese graters for the best experience, longer-lasting results, and safety compliance.
10. Clients are encouraged to ask questions, pay attention, and refuse services if they feel unsafe.

     

    Client Health and Safety Assurance:

    At Coconut Village Spa, your well-being is our utmost priority. We sincerely appreciate your understanding in the rare event that we need to reschedule to uphold everyone’s safety. Notably, we employ non-porous Ceramic pedicure tubs to ensure a safer experience. These tubs, unlike traditional jet tubs, eliminate the risk associated with returning pipes that may trap bacteria.

    In our commitment to transparency, we do not use plastic liners as they can provide a false sense of safety. Clients may not be aware of any holes or damage during the pedicure service, and liners do not guarantee protection against potential bacterial contamination in the pipes.

    The liner does not provide any safety as the water revolving into the jet tub passes through the pipe/hose, where bacteria can thrive if not cleaned for at least 20 minutes daily after each use. Nevertheless,  plastic liners can be provided upon request.
